Senior Scientist

Objective of the Role

We are looking for a passionate and creative person to join our team who is excited to work in a fast pace startup. As a member of our team, you will assist in the execution of milestone-driven synthetic biology projects.

• Experimental Design & Execution:

• Plan, design, and execute complex molecular biology experiments to support Teora’s R&D strategy and goals.

• Develop and optimize experimental protocols, ensuring reproducibility and efficiency.

• Work on strategies based on optimal culture conditions for different biological systems.

• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, data analysis, and reporting.

• Research and Innovation:

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in our field and integrate innovative methodologies into ongoing projects.

• Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and conference presentations and Grant writing.

• Mentorship and Collaboration:

• Mentor and guide junior scientists and research associates, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and improving laboratory workflows.

• Process Development and Compliance:

• Establish and standardize SOPs for molecular biology workflows and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Monitor laboratory consumables, prepare experimental reagents, and ensure smooth lab operations.

• Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines in all laboratory activities.

• Trying to stay ahead of the curve constantly with new R&D strategies

•  

• Should have R&D project management experience.

• Ph.D. or having 4-5 years of experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related fields. Wet lab experience is a must.

• Experience in yeast is a must.

• A good team player who is also independent and self-driven.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

• Ability to work in a fast growing startup environment
