Department

Reporting to our Head of Point Solutions Applications, you will join a team of highly skilled SAAS-based applications. You will have 70 dedicated colleagues located around the world, with the majority working out of Chennai, India. Our team is responsible for critical and core business applications in the organization, supporting FLSmidth’s 10,000 global employees with digital solutions. Your primary stakeholders will be Management in Business and IT, Application Architects, ERP Architects, Project managers and our service providers.

Role

As our new Senior Software Developer, you will be a member of our Enterprise application team based in Chennai. You will work closely with our Business, Techno-functional consultants in enterprise applications, and ERPs as well as our Solution Architects.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will act as a specialist who provides subject matter expertise regarding custom applications and other cloud technologies across various businesses about manufacturing, supply chain, sustainability, HSE, and HR.

FLS will have more enterprise application management systems and hosting partners and you will work closely together with the Partners to ensure a stable application environment and help to implement applications within the environment.

The Senior Software Developer, will also apply project management expertise to identify and develop process improvements, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies. The Architect is expected to provide counsel and leadership to his/her respective area to maximize efficiency while protecting the integrity of the overall solution.

Your responsibilities

• Experience in architecting and implementing web applications using latest React.JS, Redux, Next.JS, Typescript & .NET Core MVC with React JS
• Analyze the application and enhance new features & problem solving skill
• Core functionality on Latest version of .NET.
• Good knowledge Tailwind CSS, Java script.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition,

prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Cloud exposure and Azure DevOps
• Team player and have excellent communication skills.

Key Qualifications, Skills & Core Competencies:

• Getting involved in the tool discussion and developing the tool
• Hands-on experience in working on various ERPs like Oracle EBS R12 (Supply Chain, HCM), Epicor, and Dynamics
• Good understanding on the integration platforms like IIB, Talend, etc.
• Strong ability to be able to communicate with teams of diverse backgrounds (Geographic, Cultural, Personality, Functional/Technical experience)
• Hands-on experience in preparing Cut-over plans while we onboard new applications
• Have broad business understanding and build cross-functional relationships.
• Strong process understanding and focus.
• Self-starter, proactive individual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
