Job Summary: As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test II, you'll drive our quality engineering efforts and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in defining and implementing scalable automation strategies, building robust tools and frameworks, and mentoring a talented team of engineers. As a lead, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate testing seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, champion best practices, and contribute to the overall success of our product releases.

Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable automation frameworks, tools, and libraries to significantly reduce manual functional testing efforts
- Act as a hands-on engineer, writing high-quality automation code and contributing directly to the development of our testing infrastructure
- Integrate automated tests into our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid and reliable deployments
- Assume technical ownership of all automation assets, including tests, infrastructure, test data, configurations, and environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior SDETs and team members, fostering their professional growth and development
- Partner closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define success metrics, align on quality goals, and ensure successful feature delivery across multiple components
- Lead the definition, implementation, tracking, and delivery of multiple Quality Engineering (QE) Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), contributing to the organization's overall success
- Contribute your expertise to mobile and web release processes, ensuring smooth and high-quality deployments
- Oversee the entire test lifecycle, including test artifact preparation, ensuring comprehensive and effective testing.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Deep familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with proven experience delivering high-quality software in agile environments
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model) for building maintainable, scalable test automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and related tools to enable continuous testing
- Experience with iOS or Android testing frameworks, including cross-platform solutions
- Knowledge of building test infrastructure and managing test data
- Experience with Docker images, device farms, and parallel test execution
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, TestNg, Allure, or similar, for managing test cases, tracking defects, and reporting on test execution results
- Understanding of different deployment strategies like Canary, A/B Testing, feature flags etc
- Experienced in code reviews and mentoring junior members
- Knowledge of Performance testing tools like Vegeta and distributed systems and its components
- Prior experiences in building / working on Mocking frameworks is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for cross-team collaboration and constructive knowledge sharing
