Requirements
Securin is committed to becoming an AI -native organization where GenAI is embedded into how every team works - not just as an occasional assistant, but as a core part of delivery, operations, and how our expertise compounds over time. We expect every employee to integrate GenAI tools into daily workflows actively - automating routine tasks, accelerating research and analysis, drafting documents, and building reusable AI -powered processes for their function. You should understand the limitations of GenAI (including inaccuracies and data sensitivity boundaries), follow data classification rules, and continuously improve your AI proficiency. As you grow, we expect you to move beyond using GenAI to building with it - designing agent workflows, contributing reusable skills, and helping Securin compound its Proactive Exposure Management expertise faster than any competitor can replicate.
- Demonstrated ability to use GenAI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for daily work - drafting, research, summarization, data analysis, code generation, or workflow automation as relevant to the role.
- Working knowledge of GenAI limitations including hallucination risk, context window constraints, and data sensitivity boundaries; ability to validate AI -generated output before acting on it.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques - structuring multi -step instructions, providing context, and iterating on output quality to achieve production -grade results.
- Comfort with agentic AI workflows - using, designing, or building multi -step AI agents that execute tasks autonomously with human -in -the -loop validation.
- Awareness of AI security fundamentals - prompt injection risks, data classification rules, sandboxed execution, and responsible handling of sensitive data in AI workflows.
- Familiarity with connecting GenAI tools to internal data sources, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Ability to contribute reusable AI skills, templates, agent configurations, or automation workflows to a shared repository for team -wide use.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new AI tools as they evolve; participation in AI adoption sprints, hackathons, and knowledge -sharing within the team
Responsibilities:
â Design & Development: Architect, implement, and maintain Java microservices processing high -volume data streams.
â Pipeline Engineering: Build and optimize ingestion pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Beam etc.) to ensure low -latency, high -throughput data flow.
â Secure Coding: Embed secure coding standards (OWASP, SAST/DAST integration, threat modeling) into the SDLC; implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging.
â Performance at Scale: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (JVM tuning, GC optimization, resource profiling) in distributed environments.
â Reliability & Monitoring: Develop health checks, metrics, and alerts (Prometheus/Grafana), and instrument distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry).
â Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, SREs, and security teams to plan features, review designs, and conduct security/code reviews.
â Continuous Improvement: Champion CI/CD best practices (GitOps, automated testing, blue/green deployments) and mentor peers in code quality and performance tuning.
Requirements
â Strong Java Expertise: 8+ years of hands -on experience with Java 11+; deep knowledge of concurrency, memory management, and JVM internals.
â Secure Coding Practices: Proven track record implementing OWASP Top Ten mitigations, performing threat modeling, and integrating SAST/DAST tools.
â Big Data & Streaming: Hands -on with Kafka (producers/consumers, schema registry), Spark or Flink for stream/batch processing.
â System Design at Scale: Experience designing distributed systems (microservices, service mesh) with high availability and partition tolerance.
â DevOps & Automation: Skilled in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
â Cloud Platforms: Production experience on AWS; familiarity with managed services (MSK, EMR, GKE, etc.).
â Testing & Observability: Expertise in unit/integration testing (JUnit, Mockito), performance testing (JMH), logging (ELK/EFK), and monitoring stacks.
â Collaboration & Communication: Effective communicator; able to articulate technical trade -offs and evangelize best practices across teams.
Qualifications:
â Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
â 6–10 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on data -intensive applications.
â Demonstrated contributions to production -critical systems serving thousands of TPS (transactions per second).
â Strong analytical and problem -solving skills; comfortable working in fast -paced, agile environments.
Nice to Have:
â Open source contributions to streaming or security projects.
â Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
