This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer Python + Angular based in India.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of backend and frontend engineering to build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise-grade applications. You will contribute to end-to-end product delivery, from architecture and design through to deployment in production environments. The role involves working on modern web platforms using Python (Django REST) and Angular, with a strong emphasis on clean code, scalability, and maintainability. You will collaborate closely with global teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers, to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. This is a highly collaborative and impact-driven environment where engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement are deeply valued. You will also contribute to technical discussions, mentor peers, and help shape best practices across the engineering community.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality full-stack solutions across backend and frontend systems while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python and Django REST while building responsive frontend applications using Angular
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical approaches, and deliver well-structured features aligned with business goals
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and scalable code following best practices in software engineering and SOLID principles
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0 / OIDC and secure data handling practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery cycles
- Contribute to system design discussions, architecture decisions, and estimation of technical work
- Support CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and deployment workflows in cloud/containerized environments
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering communities to raise overall technical standards
Requirements:
This role requires strong full-stack engineering expertise, with deep experience in backend development and modern frontend frameworks, along with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong backend and frontend development exposure
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Django REST framework
- Proficiency in Angular for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces
- Strong understanding of authentication/authorization systems including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
- Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and collaborative development workflows
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization concepts
- Understanding of cloud platforms and distributed system concepts (OpenShift or similar environments preferred)
- Strong grasp of OOP principles, SOLID design principles, and scalable system design
- Experience building enterprise-grade, well-tested, and maintainable applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership discussions
