About Valence Intelligence
Valence Intelligence (“Valence”) is an Invoice to Cash SaaS platform with a focus on helping CPG brands, Life Sciences and medical device firms maximize their cash flow and increase overall profit margins. We help companies manage their retail / distribution customer relationships, improve cash collections and manage their Gross to Net deductions, recovering additional funds on their behalf. We work within our customers’ existing ERP ecosystem and help them integrate data intelligence from a variety of third party sources.

Our customers range from SMB, midmarket to large global enterprise brands, who we help save millions of dollars a year. Our Go to Market strategy is both direct and via partnerships, with a small group of strategic partners driving large enterprise opportunities.

About the Engineering Team
We are passionate about building software products that solve important customer pain points in the supply chain industry. Our Engineering team comprises of full stack engineers who are creating new technologies to identify and reduce supply chain errors. This Senior Software Engineer will be part of the Engineering org, reporting to the CTO.

About the Role
You will participate in our agile software development process and lead our Amazon 3P Seller Central Application creating features that are highly desirable by our customers. You are somebody who loves coding, can distil business requirements, and can lead technical direction while contributing to a fast moving company.

Key Responsibilities
You will participate in all stages of the software engineering process from conception through release, including:

Collaborate with product management, other engineers, and stakeholders to define problems, set goals, and engineer product features.
Lead the engineering efforts for new and existing products.
Write frontend and backend code of new features from start to finish, which includes system design, development, testing, deploying, and monitoring.
Minimize customer-facing outages by troubleshooting and fixing complex production issues quickly.
Continuously improve Valence Intelligence engineering standards and direction by contributing to code reviews, architecture reviews, internal tools, and knowledge base.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

B.S or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
5+ years of software development experience in a cloud environment
Strong English comprehension and communication skills
Experience in leading engineering projects
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
Strong work ethic and ability to excel with minimal guidance
Bonus: React, JavaScript with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
Bonus: Experience with Amazon Seller Central (SP-API) development and data integration
