Senior Software Engineer - Test

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements for smart meter applications and systems.
  
• Prepare, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
  
• Perform Functional, System Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Validate smart meter data, meter communication, and billing-related workflows.
  
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
  
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and O&M teams to resolve issues.
  
• Support production deployments and post-release validation activities.
  
• Prepare test reports and provide regular quality status updates.
  
• Ensure system reliability and data accuracy within Smart Meter and AMI environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  
• Experience in Smart Meter, Utility, Energy
  
• Knowledge of meter operations, billing systems, and field service processes.
  

Experience: 2-5 Years (or as applicable)

• Exposure to Test Automation frameworks , Java, Selenium , Playwright , BDD, Cucumber.
  
• Experience in Manual Testing and Quality Assurance.
  
• Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
  
• Understanding of Smart Metering, AMI, Meter Data Management (MDM), or Utility domain.
  
• Experience in Test Case Design, Execution, and Defect Tracking.
  
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar bug-tracking tools.
  
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
