Senior Software Solutions Architect

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Software Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our core healthcare platform within the Claims Cost Solutions division. This role plays a critical part in delivering scalable, interoperable, and secure applications that empower healthcare consumers to access the best-fit care when they need it most.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare IT, with a deep understanding of the ecosystem across patients, providers, and payers. You will serve as the primary Platform Architect across multiple cross-functional initiatives, collaborating closely with software engineers, QA teams, product owners, and project managers to ensure consistent delivery and sustainability of platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Architecture & Strategy

• Act as Subject Matter Expert across all aspects of platform architecture.
• Define, develop, and maintain architecture blueprints, standards, and governance models.
• Drive alignment of platform vision, journey mapping, and execution of roadmap initiatives.
• Lead solutioning around interoperability, scalability, privacy, and security compliance.

Solution Design & Development

• Create high-quality, object-oriented software using .NET, C#, and external frameworks.
• Design relational database structures, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies.
• Integrate data from a wide array of sources and optimize ingestion workflows.
• Build tools that enable low-code/no-code customization for system workflows.

Security & Performance

• Ensure platforms align with evolving security standards and conduct system-wide risk assessments.
• Facilitate platform security assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Perform application tuning and performance optimization to ensure enterprise-grade delivery.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and peer architects.
• Review and provide feedback on technical artifacts and code submissions.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and ensure global codebase consistency.
• Conduct and lead training sessions for team enablement and upskilling.

Governance & Process Excellence

• Define and enforce coding standards, review practices, and CI/CD strategies.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure architecture success across platform initiatives.
• Provide accurate project effort estimations and delivery forecasts.
• Recommend and implement continuous process improvements across the SDLC.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to the broader architecture community to foster solution reuse and eliminate redundancy.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends in microservices, containerization, and hybrid/cloud infrastructure.
• Help define and evolve standards for solution, integration, workflow, and platform scalability.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in development, architecture, or related IT roles.
• Proven leadership in designing enterprise-scale solutions in Agile environments.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networks, and service-based architecture.
• Strong expertise with:
  • .NET, C#, SQL Server, Visual Studio
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Linux/Windows OS
  • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience with application modernization and legacy-to-cloud migration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder alignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with healthcare standards and regulations (HIPAA, HL7, ANSI X12 – 837, 835, 834).
• Knowledge of enterprise service buses (ESBs), message queues, and RPC frameworks.
• Familiarity with .NET to .NET Core migration projects.
• Passion for innovation, architecture strategy, and cross-domain problem-solving.
• Exposure to SaaS product development and large-scale data pipelines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
