What You’ll Do :

A Senior Survey Programmer with 8+ years of experience in survey programming, scripting, and data processing. This role involves developing and optimizing online surveys, ensuring high data quality, and working closely with researchers, data analysts, and project managers to deliver insightful research solutions. The ideal candidate is proficient in multiple survey programming platforms, has experience handling complex logic and custom functionalities, and can lead projects efficiently. The role also involves leading and mentoring junior survey programmers, providing guidance and technical support. Location: Bengaluru / NCR

Key responsibilities:

• Review survey questionnaires and formulate recommendations to ensure efficient programming and optimal data layout. Proactively suggest improvements and promote best practices on question types, logic, quotas, survey structure with respondents and data quality in mind


• Accurately program surveys and conduct quality control checks to ensure error free deliverables.


• Identify and raise questions about loopholes or inconsistencies between project requirements and provided material


• Assist the project manager in preparing technical notes or questions needing clarification from the client. Ensure client expectations are in line with what can be provided


• Work directly with the project manager and senior team members to explore custom solutions needed for meeting unique client needs


• Continue to broaden the understanding of our platform and its offerings and proactively escalate to the lead programmer when in doubt. Maintain and improve the level of quality and efficiency of projects through code reviews, process improvements, and new technology


• Identify and implement innovative programming techniques and non-standard solutions to programming challenges. Think outside the box to identify and solve problems that come up during planning, development, or fielding of surveys


• Coordinate and consult with stakeholders on how to best structure the survey for efficient data delivery and tabulations. Provide post-delivery support.


• Ensure completion of projects by established deadline and/or notify appropriate staff with alternate plans when necessary.


• Integrating graphic, multimedia and specialty survey components-based exercises, including but not limited to custom sliders, shelf-tests, media evaluations, drag and drops, shopping carts and page turners etc.


• Interact with survey programmers regarding programming and technical requirements of the project, provide guidance and feedback

Skills, Attributes and Experience:

• Experience of 8+ years


• Experience in Decipher is a minimum requirement


• Experience of other survey programming platforms (Sawtooth, Qualtrics, Confirmit etc.)


• Good verbal and written communication


• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.
  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data validation and debugging, including an ability to “think outside the box”

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience programming surveys on the Decipher platform


• Strong programming aptitude and knowledge of the below (minimum of 2 years working experience,


• (XML, Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)


• JS libraries & frameworks such as jQuery, moment, Angular, React


• CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Materialize


• REST APIs 


• Excellent understanding of logic and ability to identify errors


• Good understanding of marketing research, surveys and data


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
