POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the configuration and operation of the Windows and Linux servers at all the ZeOmega, Inc. locations. This includes servers used for internal production, SaaS production, test and development servers for all systems and demonstration servers used by ZeOmega partners and clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for all systems in the environment using the following, but not limited to the following: Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Performance management, Capacity management, Configuration & availability management activities
• Produce configurations for all servers under direction of the Cloud Infrastructure management.
• Provide administration of Linux OSes at an advanced level
• Provide administration of Windows Server OSes at an advance level
• Infrastructure troubleshooting at an advanced level
• Maintain Kubernetes/Docker/Rancher container environments
• Develop scripts to improve automation, reduce daily tasks, increase efficiency
• Meet with Information Systems Management regularly as well as members of Senior Management on the state of Information Systems throughout the ZeOmega organization.
• Produce drawings and narrative descriptions of the systems in use at ZeOmega.
• Direct the troubleshooting and restoration of all server related incidents with appropriate documentation.
• Develop thresholds and other guidelines for the monitoring of server performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews of all servers and recommend changes.
• Research and report on alternate technologies for service delivery.
• Secondary server systems security resource.
• Act as a Lead/Mentor/Trainer/Helper for Information Systems team members
• Maintain the inventory of all server hardware and support agreements.
• Familiar with various SAN architecture in a Data Center environment including EMC, Pure, Nimble
• Familiar with various Network components in a Data Center environment including Cisco, F5, Fortinet
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of enterprise Systems engineering or Systems administration experience including VMware hosts, Windows servers, SAN, and Linux systems in production environments.
3 to 5 years of Data Center experience
3 to 5 years of scripting experience with any of the following: PHP, Python, PowerShell, Shell
2 to 4 years with containers: Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker
2 to 4 years Public Cloud experience: AWS, Azure
7 to 10 years of experience with Active Directory, LDAP or other identity and security management systems.
2 to 4 years of Apache/IIS/Web Server configuration and management
Skills: Scripting, Troubleshooting, VMware, Windows OSes, Linux OSes, Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, Apache/IIS, Various Monitoring solutions, Network, SAN, Off the Shelf software, Active Directory, AWS/Azure
