The role

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and high-energy Sr. Talent Acquisition Lead to establish, scale, and lead our new GBS talent acquisition function in Pune.

​As the TA Lead for India, you will own the entire recruitment ecosystem—from high-volume technical and operational hiring to niche lateral leadership roles and overseeing campus/fresher programs. You will lead a dedicated team of recruiters, partner closely with global stakeholders, and build a powerful employer brand to attract top-tier talent for The Magnum Ice Cream Company’s prestigious GBS setup. A critical success factor for this role is the ability to leverage and manage flexible hiring models, including Recruitment as a Service (RaaS) partnerships, to scale operations efficiently.

What you'll be responsible for

1. Strategic Leadership & Function Ownership

  • ​End-to-End Ownership: Design, implement, and execute the comprehensive TA strategy for the India GBS, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
  • ​Capacity Planning: Partner with business unit heads and workforce planning teams to forecast hiring needs and manage the talent pipeline effectively.
  • ​Vendor & RaaS Ecosystem Management: Evaluate, select, and manage external recruitment partnerships, with a strong focus on managing Recruitment as a Service (RaaS) engagement models to supplement internal team capacity during peak hiring phases.

2. Recruitment Execution & Volume Management

  • ​Diverse Portfolios: Oversee the execution of multiple hiring tracks, including Lateral Hiring (mid-to-senior niche roles), Fresher/Campus Hiring, and Volume/Mass Recruitment to support rapid GBS scaling.
  • ​Executive Search: Personally drive executive and leadership-level searches for critical India-based positions.
  • ​Sourcing Strategy: Champion diverse sourcing channels, emphasizing direct sourcing, social recruitment, employee referrals, and blended RaaS solutions to minimize dependency on traditional, high-cost search agencies.

3. Team Management & Mentorship

  • ​People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and upskill an internal team of recruitment professionals, setting clear performance metrics, KPIs, and deliverables.
  • ​Resource Allocation: Dynamically distribute hiring loads across internal recruiters and RaaS partners to balance volume hiring spikes with specialized lateral searches.

4. Operations, Analytics & Branding

  • ​Data-Driven Decisions: Define, track, and report on key TA metrics (e.g., Time-to-Hire, Quality-of-Hire, Cost-per-Hire, Diversity metrics, and RaaS partner ROI) to regional and global leadership.
  • ​Process Optimization: Standardize and streamline recruitment processes, leveraging Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and modern evaluation tools for a seamless candidate experience.
  • ​Employer Branding: Collaborate with Marketing and Global Communications to position The Magnum Ice Cream Company as an employer of choice in the competitive Pune market.

We're looking for someone who

Education: MBA or Master’s in HR.

​Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive, core recruitment experience, with a significant portion spent leading a talent acquisition team.

​Leadership: Proven track record of managing a team of recruiters and driving accountability in a fast-paced environment.

​Hiring Capability: Demonstrated experience managing both highly specialized lateral hiring and complex, high-volume/bulk recruitment cycles.

RaaS Expertise: Proven experience in setting up, managing, or working directly with Recruitment as a Service (RaaS) models to scale delivery effectively.

​Industry Background: Extensive experience working within a Global Capability Center (GCC) / Captive organization or the FMCG industry.

​Regional Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the India talent landscape,, and regional compensation trends.

​Tools: High proficiency with modern enterprise ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, etc) and advanced LinkedIn Recruiter strategies.
