Senior Technical Consultant - SAP SAC - BODS

Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant – SAP SAC and SAP BODS 

Location: Hyderabad / Pune / Hybrid

Experience: Minimum 6 years

Job Summary

We are looking for Senior Consultants with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our SAP Delivery team. We have openings across two specializations: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and Fiori) and SAP Data Migration (SAP BODS, ETL and S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, including production support). Candidates are expected to bring depth in at least one specialization; experience in both is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams (SAP, database, infrastructure, Basis, functional and business) to understand requirements, resolve technical issues and deliver enhancements.


• Implement enhancements and change requests based on business and technical requirements.


• Maintain technical documentation and provide production support in accordance with defined SLAs and support processes.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Lead the design, development and maintenance of reports and dashboards in SAC, and implement end-to-end analytics solutions that support business reporting and decision-making.


• Develop interactive dashboards, data visualizations and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.


• Configure and customize SAC functionality to business requirements, including data connections, data modelling and security settings.


• Leverage S/4HANA Embedded Analytics for real-time reporting and analytics within the SAP S/4HANA environment.


• Develop Fiori analytical applications and tiles that give intuitive access to key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytical insights.

SAP BODS / Data Migration

• Design, build and deploy ETL using SAP BODS, including performance optimization and use of CDS views as a source for data extraction.


• Extract data from legacy systems to SAP or other databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase and Teradata.


• Lead the team in data migration and conversion activities.


• Monitor and support BODS jobs in production and ensure timely resolution of job failures.


• Troubleshoot BODS job, workflow, data flow, database and connectivity issues.


• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues. 


• Manage BODS job scheduling, dependencies, deployments and migration across environments. 

Requirements 

• Good understanding of business processes, including identifying as-is and to-be processes and mapping them to the solution. 


• Experience working with and supporting multi-functional teams in an agile environment. 


• Experience reviewing and approving mapping documents and converting functional specifications into technical specifications in collaboration with the functional team. 


• Good communication skills and the ability to interact independently with client teams. 


• Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational skills. 

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of SAC experience with S/4HANA, SAP BPC, CDS/HANA models, APIs, BOBJ or BW Query views as back end; working knowledge of S/4HANA CDS views and BW queries. 


• Hands-on experience in 1 full life-cycle SAC implementations, including design workshops, requirements gathering, gap analysis, custom AAC development, data model development and data loading, unit and integration testing, and go-live strategies. 


• Extensive experience in data modelling and dataset preparation: merging, appending, custom hierarchies, custom calculations, groupings, currency conversion, value formatting, data wrangling, and dimensions and measures/KFs. 


• Experience creating stories: canvas, responsive, drill-down, year-on-year comparison, filters, alerts, conditional formatting, graphs and tables. 


• Experience in user creation, security assignment, content export and transport across environments, and connection setup with security. 


• Functional knowledge of any of the following modules: FICO, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM, HCM, VC, EWM. 

SAP BODS / Data Migration 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in SAP data conversion and migration projects, with at least one end-to-end SAP data migration project. 


• Strong experience in SAP BODS development, production support and administration; proficient in ETL 


• Experience in ETL development and data integration across different source and target systems. 


• Experience in data validation, verification and cleansing using any tools. 


• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including analysing BODS logs and identifying root causes of job failures. 


• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases. 


• Experience in production support, incident management and SLA-based support. 

Good to Have 

• Certification in SAC, data migration or ETL tools.
