The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who combines deep technical knowledge with problem-solving skills, architectural thinking, and the ability to guide and mentor a team in an agile environment.\n\nYour Impact\n\nThe Senior Technical Lead is expected to work with brains and passion and play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable features in PTC\u2019s flagship PLM product Windchill, with a strong focus on MPMLink (Manufacturing Process Management) modules. You will influence technical direction, ensure engineering excellence, and drive successful feature delivery.\n\nYour Team\n\nWindchill is the flagship PLM product of PTC. Our team is responsible for building and owning mission-critical modules and functionalities within Windchill, including MPMLink. You\u2019ll be part of a collaborative team with a healthy mix of experienced engineers and young talent, where technical excellence and innovation are valued.\n\nYour Day-to-Day\n\n * Lead the design, development, and delivery of features in Windchill MPMLink\n * Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and innovation in complex technical areas\n * Define and own technical designs and architecture for assigned modules\n * Develop, modify, and maintain high-quality, well-documented Java code with appropriate test automation\n\n\n * Leverage Copilot and other AI-based development tools for:\n\n\n\nCode generation and refactoring\n\nUnit test creation\n\nCode reviews and documentation\n\nFaster root-cause analysis and debugging\n\n * Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability expectations\n * Identify performance and scalability bottlenecks and drive them to resolution\n * Review code and designs to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices\n * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members\n * Collaborate closely with product management, QA, and other stakeholders in an agile development environment\n * Take ownership of technical decisions and ensure timely delivery of features\n\n\n\nRequired Skills \u0026 Experience\n\n * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities\n * 6\u201310 years of experience in software development with Java / J2EE / OOAD\n * Experience with module design, performance tuning, and scalability\n * Exposure to Agile / Scrum development methodologies\n * Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers\n * Very good verbal and written communication skills\n\n\n\nGood to Have\n\n * Experience working on large-scale PLM implementations\n * Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill, preferably MPMLink\n * Exposure to manufacturing or process planning domains\n * Experience of using Copilot and AI agents\n\n\n\nLife at PTC is about more than working with today\u2019s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
