Own program delivery for NPI initiatives including new vehicle platforms, subsystem upgrades, or introduction of new manufacturing technologies.
Drive the engineering-to-manufacturing handover process, ensuring BOM maturity, DFM/DFA compliance, and process stability.
Lead change management workflows (ECNs, PCNs) for all engineering updates impacting the manufacturing line.
Work closely with design, validation, sourcing, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure readiness of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and process documentation.
Define and track NPI project plans, phase gates, and launch readiness metrics (PPAP, pilot builds, production validation).
Partner with supply chain and vendor development teams to align sourcing timelines with build schedules.
Coordinate pilot builds and ramp-up plans, and ensure feedback loops from manufacturing and QA are fed back into product design.
Identify program risks (technical, supply, manufacturing) and drive cross-functional mitigation plans.
Report weekly progress, risks, and mitigation to executive stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering.
8-10 years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing engineering, or NPI roles—preferably in automotive, EV, aerospace, or electronics sectors.
Deep understanding of product lifecycle, DFM/DFA principles, and manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, electronics, composites, etc.).
Experience with engineering change management systems (PLM/ERP) and documentation standards (BOM, routing, work instructions).
Proven track record of delivering new products into production within cost, time, and quality constraints.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to dive into technical details and also manage at a program level.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or APQP is a plus.
Prior experience launching vehicle platforms or complex electro mechanical systems.
Exposure to digital manufacturing tools, MES systems, or Industry 4.0 implementations.
Ability to manage fast-paced product changes in a startup-like or high-growth environment.
