Job Summary:
Fabrication & Assembly: Perform rigid tube cutting, deburring, bending, flaring, swaging, soft-hose assembly, and fitting installation according to fluid schematics and technical drawings.
Installation & System Integration: Execute precise plumbing layout, routing, clamping, dressing, and integration of fluid lines (e.g., thermal management/liquid cooling, hydraulic, pneumatic, or fire suppression systems) on eVTOL airframes and battery modules.
Testing & Inspection: Conduct visual inspections, pressure testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic), leak detection (vacuum/helium), and proof testing using dedicated test rigs and measurement equipment.
Troubleshooting & Rework: Identify fluid system faults, pressure drops, contamination, or fitting leaks; perform root-cause diagnosis; and execute reworks, tube re-bends, or component replacements safely and efficiently.
Documentation & Process Control: Maintain precise, auditable records of inspection, pressure test logs, torque checks, and completed work activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Contamination Control & Safety: Adhere strictly to aerospace fluid cleanliness standards, cleanroom/clean-bench practices, system flushing protocols, and workplace safety regulations.
Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Maintain and calibrate plumbing tools, tube benders, and pressure test skids; deliver regular updates on work progress, meet production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Aerospace Plumbing, Fluid Systems Assembly, Tube Bending, Pressure Testing, and Installation (preferably in Aerospace, eVTOL, Aviation, or Defense manufacturing environments).
Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Automobile, Electrical, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret fluid schematics, mechanical engineering drawings, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and work instructions.
Deep understanding of rigid tubing materials (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium), benders, flaring tools, medium/high-pressure fittings (AN, MS, AS, Swagelok), and hose crimping.
Hands-on expertise with liquid cooling loops (crucial for eVTOL battery/powertrain thermal management), hydraulic lines, or pneumatic systems.
Proficiency operating pressure test benches, helium/vacuum leak detectors, and precision torque tools.
Quality & Safety Standards: Direct working knowledge of aerospace fluid cleanliness standards (e.g., AS4059, ISO 4406), pressure safety protocols, and quality control systems.
Skills & Attributes: Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, solid communication skills, and safety-conscious workflow.
Mobility: Willingness to travel and support integration at customer or flight-test sites as required.
Competitive salary and benefits package.
Opportunities for professional growth and development.
Work on exciting and challenging projects that push the boundaries of manufacturing.
Be part of a dynamic and innovative team.
