Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) - Competitive Analysis to join our Bangalore team. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority on Ericsson's competitive position across Enterprise WWAN, SD-WAN, SASE, enterprise routing, and Zero Trust security markets.

You will perform hands-on competitive evaluations, analyze market-leading solutions, and translate technical insights into sales enablement, product strategy, and go-to-market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations, lab testing, and competitive analysis of enterprise networking, SD-WAN, security, and cellular networking solutions.


• Develop benchmarking methodologies to compare performance, scalability, security, and cloud management capabilities against competitors.


• Create technical collateral including battlecards, white papers, migration guides, competitive briefs, and objection handling materials.


• Deliver technical enablement and training sessions for global sales teams, partners, and system integrators.


• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to provide competitive intelligence, feature gap analysis, and market feedback.


• Support external thought leadership activities through blogs, webinars, analyst engagements, and industry events.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in Technical Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Product Management, or related roles within enterprise networking, SD-WAN, cybersecurity, or wireless networking.


• Experience building lab environments and conducting competitive product evaluations.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, GRE, SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust architectures.


• Solid understanding of LTE and 5G technologies, including enterprise cellular router and adapter deployments.


• Familiarity with leading networking and security vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, or similar platforms.


• Ability to analyze complex technical architectures and communicate findings effectively to technical and executive audiences.
