Seniro Software Engineer

Position Summary
Independent technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and evolving foundational software capabilities that accelerate product delivery across Qualitrol. This role delivers reusable platform services, frameworks, APIs, libraries, and tooling while contributing to platform architecture and mentoring fellow engineers.

Build the Future of Connected Monitoring Platforms
Qualitrol's Technology Platform team develops common software and infrastructure capabilities that enable next-generation monitoring, analytics, and asset management solutions for critical electrical infrastructure. Engineers on the Platform team build reusable technologies spanning cloud, edge, embedded Linux, firmware integration, APIs, data services, developer tooling, and AI-enabled engineering workflows. Using a Specification-Driven, AI-Assisted Software Development Lifecycle, engineers collaborate with AI throughout architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and validation while maintaining full engineering accountability.

Mission
Design, build, and evolve shared platform capabilities leveraged across multiple products and value streams. Deliver scalable, maintainable, and reusable technologies that reduce duplication, accelerate development, and improve product quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable software services, APIs, SDKs, libraries, and frameworks.
• Define platform standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns.
• Drive software quality through automated testing, CI/CD, secure development practices, and observability.
• Build tooling, agents, and workflows that automate engineering processes.
• Lead implementation of strategic platform initiatives and mentor engineers in modern software development and AI-native engineering practices.
• Improve developer productivity through automation and AI-assisted engineering.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building platforms, frameworks, shared services, or enterprise applications.
• Strong development experience in C#, Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, event-driven applications, and containerized environments.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with scalable software architecture and system integration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering workflows preferred.

• Exposure to edge-to-cloud architectures, connected devices, and IoT ecosystems is a plus.

   

Ways of Working Work within Agile Scrum teams using SAFe 6.0 principles, collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, QA, firmware engineers, cloud engineers, software engineers, and AI agents to deliver secure, scalable, and reusable platform capabilities.
