Title: SEO Lead — Atlas Systems

Role Overview


Atlas Systems is looking for a seasoned SEO Lead to own and scale our organic search presence. In this role, you will define the SEO vision, lead execution across technical, content, and off-page channels, and work cross-functionally to ensure search is a primary driver of pipeline and brand visibility. You will collaborate closely with content, product marketing, and engineering to build a sustainable, high-performing organic growth engine.



Key Responsibilities


1. SEO Strategy & Leadership



  • Own the end-to-end SEO roadmap, setting priorities and KPIs aligned with Atlas Systems' growth objectives.

  • Partner with demand generation, content, and product marketing leaders to align organic search with broader go-to-market strategy.


2. Technical SEO



  • Lead regular technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, structured data, and mobile performance.

  • Work directly with engineering and web development teams to implement technical fixes and improvements at scale.

  • Establish and govern SEO standards and best practices for all website development and CMS workflows.


3. Content Strategy & Optimization



  • Define keyword strategy and content briefs that map to target ICPs and buyer journey stages.

  • Collaborate with content and editorial teams to optimize existing pages and greenlight new content investments.

  • Build and maintain a topical authority framework to ensure Atlas Systems is the definitive resource in its core subject areas.


4. Link Building & Off-Page Authority



  • Design and execute scalable link acquisition campaigns including digital PR, partnerships, and editorial outreach.

  • Monitor and manage the backlink profile, identifying risks and opportunities to strengthen domain authority.


5. Performance Analysis & Reporting



  • Own SEO reporting for executive and cross-functional stakeholders, translating data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations.

  • Track and analyze organic traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, and revenue attribution using GA4, Google Search Console, and third-party tools.

  • Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into SEO performance.


6. Competitor & Market Intelligence



  • Conduct ongoing competitor research to surface content gaps, backlink opportunities, and ranking threats.

  • Monitor industry trends and algorithm updates, proactively adapting strategy to maintain and grow search presence.


7. AI & Tooling Integration



  • Champion the use of AI tools and automation to increase the efficiency and scale of SEO operations.

  • Evaluate and manage the SEO tool stack, ensuring the team has the resources needed to execute effectively.


8. Asset & Campaign Development



  • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-value organic assets such as tools, research reports, calculators, and guides.

  • Drive programmatic and scaled content initiatives that compound organic visibility over time.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior individual contributor capacity.

  • Proven track record of growing organic traffic and contributing measurably to pipeline and revenue.

  • Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link building.

  • Proficiency with core SEO tools including GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or equivalents.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic recommendations.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with content, design, and engineering teams.


Preferred



  • Experience in B2B technology, SaaS, or IT services.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted SEO workflows and content production.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO implementation.

  • Experience with multi-regional SEO.

  • Background in demand generation or revenue marketing alignment.
