Job Description - Service Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of equipment and systems while ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem -solving abilities, and the capability to work closely with cross -functional teams to improve operational efficiency and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, test, and maintain equipment, machinery, and systems at customer locations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to products, equipment, and service operations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to identify and implement product and process improvements.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and prepare detailed service reports after each service visit.
  • Provide technical support to customers through onsite visits, phone calls, emails, and remote assistance.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service requests.
  • Assist in product testing, validation, and field trials for new products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service activities, spare parts usage, and customer interactions.
  • Train customers, junior engineers, and technicians on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure availability of spare parts and technical resources.
  • Follow company safety standards, quality procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in equipment servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery, automation systems, electrical systems, or mechanical equipment is an added advantage.
  • Freshers with strong technical aptitude and willingness to travel may also be considered.
