Job Description - ServiceNow Technical Lead


We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead to drive the design, development, customization, and implementation of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Integrations, and platform administration, along with strong leadership capabilities to manage and mentor development teams. You will be responsible for delivering scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions, overseeing technical architecture, leading customer-facing discussions, managing complex integrations, and ensuring platform excellence through governance, performance optimization, and best practices. This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in large-scale ServiceNow environments.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the technical design, development, configuration, customization, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.

  • Own end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and Integrations.

  • Manage and mentor ServiceNow developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, governance, and best practices.

  • Oversee development activities, project execution, sprint planning, and resource coordination.

  • Design scalable ServiceNow architectures and deliver innovative technical solutions.

  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and quality assessments.

  • Manage platform administration activities including upgrades, patching, environment management, and release support.

  • Drive platform performance optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while providing escalation support.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Design, develop, and manage integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, MID Servers, Integration Hub, and ServiceNow integration frameworks.

  • Support large-scale enterprise implementations and complex ServiceNow environments.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during customer discussions, solution reviews, and project delivery.

  • Lead technical decision-making and architecture governance across ServiceNow programs.

Key Skills and Qualifications



  • 8–10 years of overall IT experience with 6–8 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.

  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, configuration, customization, and administration.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with:

    • JavaScript

    • Flow Designer

    • Business Rules

    • Script Includes

    • UI Policies

    • Client Scripts

    • Service Catalog

    • Workflows


  • Strong experience with ServiceNow:

    • ITSM

    • ITOM

    • CMDB

    • Integrations


  • Proven experience leading ServiceNow development teams and managing technical deliverables.

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, governance frameworks, and platform best practices.

  • Experience with platform upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and environment management.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.

  • Ability to lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution design discussions
