Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Ownership (SQDC): Maintain primary ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Manage the hub as a P&L center, ensuring financial targets (cost/cash management) are met while driving operational KPIs to maximize turbine availability and minimize downtime.

  • Operational Management: Direct the O&M of multiple windfarms, providing oversight to Site Managers and Site Leads. Plan and allocate labor and parts to ensure the timely execution of corrective, preventive, and retrofit activities.

  • Operational Strategy: Utilize data from Remote Operation Centers and Fleet Performance Management (FPM) teams to drive maintenance quality and cost. Champion the use of digital tools to optimize performance across all sites.

  • Team Leadership & Integration: Lead a diverse, unified team of OM&U  employees and supplier technicians. Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring staff, managing performance, and ensuring strict adherence to OM&U technical instructions, processes, and safety protocols.

  • Process Standardization: Deploy Lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, ISO standards) to ensure that isolated, geographically dispersed sites operate with the same high level of efficiency and uniformity as centralized hubs.

  • Safety Stewardship: Champion a robust safety culture. Conduct regular Genba walks and safety audits to ensure full compliance with EHS standards, instructions, and guidelines across all hub locations.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal support functions, Blades, MCU and UpTower teams to resolve complex technical issues impacting site operations or contractual obligations.

Leadership Competencies

  • Inclusive Leadership & Workforce Integration: Ability to build a cohesive, high-performing culture across a diverse, multi-location, and mixed-labor force.

  • Influencing & Stakeholder Management: Effectively navigate a matrixed organization. Influence internal support functions (Supply Chain, Engineering, FPM) to ensure isolated site needs are prioritized.

  • Decisiveness Under Pressure: Proven track record of making high-stakes decisions with incomplete or rapidly evolving information.

  • Ownership & Accountability: Operates with a "Founder’s Mindset," taking full accountability for results and identifying bottlenecks before they escalate.

  • Coaching & Development: Commitment to building site talent, identifying high-potential technicians, and fostering continuous learning.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to maintain focus and lead through change while managing unpredictable site challenges and customer interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • 15+ years of work experience with min 5 years of experience in wind energy industry in site management role.

Desired Characteristics
