Job Description of the -

Overview

We
are seeking experienced SharePoint Migration Specialists to support a
large -scale enterprise migration program. The role will focus on executing and
supporting multiple concurrent SharePoint migrations, working closely with
business stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth end -user experience throughout the
migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Migration Delivery

• Execute
  end -to -end SharePoint migration activities (pre -migration, migration, and
  post -migration validation)
  
• Perform
  migrations using tools such as ShareGate
  
• Manage multiple migration waves/sites concurrently, ensuring timelines are
  met
  
• Run
  incremental migrations and support cutover activities
  

Planning & Preparation

• Conduct
  site discovery and pre -migration assessments
  
• Identify
  risks such as permissions complexity, unsupported content, and storage
  issues
  
• Support
  content clean -up and readiness activities with site owners
  

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

• Work
  directly with site owners, information stewards, and business users
  
• Facilitate
  migration planning discussions with stakeholders
  
• Clearly
  communicate migration approach, timelines, and expectations
  
• Manage
  stakeholder concerns, resistance, and post -migration queries 
  
• Client
  Support During Migration
  
• Provide hands -on support to business users throughout migration waves
  
• Assist
  with validation activities post -migration (content, access, structure)
  
• Troubleshoot
  migration issues and escalate where required
  

Technical Execution

• Configure
  and run migration jobs using ShareGate
  
• Validate
  migration results (files, permissions, structure)
  
• Troubleshoot
  failed or partial migrations and re -run as needed
  
• Support
  permissions mapping and ensure integrity of migrated access models 
  

Operational Excellence

• Manage
  workload across multiple active migrations simultaneously
  
• Track
  progress, risks, and issues across migration waves
  
• Maintain
  documentation and provide status updates to project leads
  

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• Proven
  experience with SharePoint
  Online migrations (mandatory)
  
• Hands -on
  experience with ShareGate or equivalent migration tools
  
• Strong
  understanding of:
  
• SharePoint
  site structures (sites vs subsites, modern architecture)
  
• Permissions
  models and inheritance
  
• Migration
  challenges (large volumes, throttling, unsupported components)
  

Delivery & Operations

• Experience
  delivering multiple migrations in parallel
  
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
  
• Ability
  to manage competing deadlines across multiple sites/stakeholders
  

Stakeholder Management

• Experience
  working directly with business stakeholders and end users
  
• Strong
  communication skills — able to translate technical concepts into simple
  terms
  
• Experience
  supporting users through change and migration activities
  

Problem Solving

• Proven
  ability to troubleshoot migration issues (performance, failures, data
  validation)
  
• Ability
  to work independently and escalate appropriately when needed
  

Nice to Have

• Experience
  with AvePoint (Fly, Cloud Governance, reporting)
  
• Experience
  migrating legacy SharePoint (2010/2013) or file shares
  
• Exposure
  to large -scale enterprise migration programs
