Purpose of the Job:

To deliver production as per the targets by ensuring effective follow up/execution of schedules, implementation of all systems and SOPs by the work associates and continuously guiding and developing them. Ensure adherence to WAM.

Material Loss Reduction: As per Budget,75% per Month

KAIZEN: As per plan

Safety adherence throughout the plant.

OEE improvement > 80%

Improve PPP Audit Score: >95%

5S Implementation        

Description of main tasks:

The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:

1.)     Safety

·       To ensure adherence to the Safety guidelines for plant and PPE on shop floor. To ensure that all operators comply with the company’s Health and Safety procedures

2.)     Production Process

·       To manage the shift and all operators/contract labours to ensure the smooth running of the production process

3.)     Execution of Production Activities

• To execute the production in shifts in order minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital

• Problem solving and troubling shooting to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand 

4.)     Material Yield & Quality

• Problem solving and troubling shooting to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand 

5.)     People Management

• To plan Own & contract Manpower arrangement for the shift

• To resolve conflicts/problems with other teams with positive outcome

• To communicate effectively and assertively in order to avoid conflicts at workplace.

• To ensure training, maintaining skill matrix of Op. Sp. & their assessment is as per the plan

6.)     Coordination with other Departments

• Coordinate with the Process team to stabilize production runs, manage trial runs, and control raw material usage.

• Coordinate effectively with the supply chain team to ensure timely and uninterrupted material availability, enabling smooth and continuous production flow.

• Coordinate with other departments and external agencies such as direct expense suppliers, canteen, security, and administration during the shift

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance

7.)     Manufacturing Consumables

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance

8.)     Housekeeping & 5S

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance

9.)     Reporting

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance

10.)  Keep supervisor and upper level management apprised of daily operations.

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance

11.)  WCM Implementation

• To effectively co-ordinate with maintenance for Preventive and breakdown maintenance
