Job Description - Should Costing Engineer with Tear Down Experience

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail -oriented Should Costing Engineer with Tear Down Experience for our client at Bangalore Location. The Should Costing Engineer will Independently execute teardown and costing assignments;
develop structured BOMs and robust bottom -up should -cost models. Drive the team, project lead -time adherence, and team productivity. Lead teardown & should -costing programs; validate cost models; review and drive cost -optimization strategy; and engage stakeholders and also Execute task based activities

Key Skills

Strong manufacturing process expertise (casting, machining, molding, fabrication, electronics assembly, etc.) , Technical drawing interpretation (GD&T basics), Cost structure breakdown expertise, Advanced Excel, Power BI (preferred), ERP exposure
(SAP/Oracle), Advance CAD, Multi -level BOM, Bottom -up cost models, Detailed tear down reports, Cost driver dashboards

Key Responsibilities.

Should -Cost Modeling: Build zero -based cost estimates from the ground up for commodities like casting, machining, injection molding, and electronics.
Cost Driver Identification: Pinpoint exact design decisions, material selections, or production inefficiencies that drive up product costs
Supplier Quote Validation: Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals, identifying deviations between quoted prices and internal "should -cost" targets.
Cost Optimization & VAVE: Support Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives and new product introductions (NPI) to reduce costs while preserving quality.
Own multiple teardown & costing workstreams
Review & validate complex cost models
Drive Design -to -Value (DtV) & VA/VE initiatives
Lead client/stakeholder discussions
Develop standardized costing frameworks
Support negotiation analytics & savings validation
Team supervision & quality governance

Requirements

Experience: 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Should Costing with Tear Down Experience.
NTTF / GTDC Tool Manufacturing / B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Electrical) or equivalent + MBA (Preferred)
Availability: Immediate Joiner only (Candidates who can join within 0 -15 days are preferred).
Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Strong manufacturing process expertise (casting, machining, molding, fabrication, electronics assembly, etc.).
Software Proficiency: Hands -on, advanced experience in Advanced Excel, Power BI (preferred), ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle), Advance CAD
Strong understanding of Tear Down Analysis, Dashboards and Reports
