About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of custom modules and widgets within the Sitefinity CMS platform, rewriting pathways from CMS to backend code, and performing advanced .NET development and integration tasks. You will also play a crucial role in conducting code reviews, mentoring team members, and collaborating with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Architects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Umbraco, Sitefinity, and the .NET framework, with a proven track record of identifying performance and code optimization opportunities. This is a hybrid position based in New York, requiring a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Sitefinity custom module/widget development.
• Rewrite pathways from CMS to backend code.
• Perform advanced .NET development & integration tasks.
• Conduct code reviews & mentor team members on best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Architects to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Identify performance & code optimization opportunities within existing and new systems.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest .NET technologies and trends.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in .NET development.
• Strong understanding of Umbraco, Sitefinity, and the .NET framework.
• Experience with custom module/widget development in Sitefinity.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with database design and development (SQL Server preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with code review processes and mentoring junior developers.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
