Job Description - Snowflake Developer

Position: Snowflake Developer

Location: Chennai - Onsite/Hybrid/Remote

Engagement Type: Full Time

Shift Timing: 1.30PM - 10.30PM IST (UK Shift Time)

About the role: We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise -scale data platforms on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building Golden Data Layers (single source of truth), implementing data pipelines, and leveraging Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities to deliver intelligent data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Snowflake Development

Design and develop scalable data solutions using Snowflake.
Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
Develop ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake SQL, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables.
Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and cost management.

Golden Data Management

Design and implement Golden Data Models and Golden Record frameworks.
Create data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes.
Develop Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
Establish data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices.
Ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple source systems.

Snowflake Cortex & AI Solutions

Implement Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities for intelligent data processing.
Develop AI -powered data enrichment and classification solutions.
Build natural language query and analytics capabilities using Cortex.
Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI use cases within Snowflake.
Develop Retrieval -Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging Snowflake data.

Data Engineering & Integration

Integrate data from ERP, CRM, HRMS, ATS, and other enterprise applications.
Develop APIs and data -sharing mechanisms.
Work with structured and unstructured data sources.
Implement secure data -sharing and data collaboration solutions.

Governance & Security

Implement role -based access controls (RBAC).
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements.
Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance and data quality issues.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
2+ years of hands -on Snowflake development experience.
Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and administration.
Advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
Experience with Python and/or Spark.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Airflow, or dbt.
Knowledge of REST APIs and cloud integrations.

Experience implementing Golden Record or MDM solutions.
Experience with Generative AI and LLM implementations.
Snowflake certifications preferred.
Experience in Finance, Healthcare, Retail, or HR domains.
Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
