đ§ What youâll do
- Lead & mentor a team of Java developers; run regular code reviews and foster a collaborative, learning culture.
- Design & build cloudânative, microservicesâbased solutions using Java and Spring Boot; develop robust REST APIs.
- Own the lifecycle from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release; champion quality and coding standards.
- Raise the bar on performance, security, reliability, and scalability (observability, resilience patterns, load/perf best practices).
- Partner with product to shape scope, manage timelines, surface risks early, and deliver value iteratively.
- Enable CI/CD and modern DevOps practices to speed up safe, repeatable releases.
đ§ What youâll bring
- 6+ years in Java development, including 2+ years leading or coaching engineers.
- Strong Java and OOP skills; deep experience with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and RESTful services.
- Handsâon with cloudânative architecture (CNA), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with API design & integration; familiarity with secure coding and performance tuning.
- Clear communication, problemâsolving mindset, and a passion for mentoring.
â Nice to have
- Experience with Azure (or another major cloud).
- Exposure to DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Git) and agile ways of working.
- Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
