Software Development Engineer - Backend

Mate Labs is looking for a street -smart and an energetic Sr. Backend Engineer who has worked with python web application frameworks (preferably Flask and Django). We love open source projects. We look for guys who are passionate for open source projects and contributions and building things for scale.

Mate Labs has built “world’s fastest Auto -ML engine”, Mateverse, which is 100X faster than any of its peers in identifying the best Algorithm & Hyperparameter for the most accurate model. The company is using its technology to disrupt the domain of Forecasting for the consumer companies, where it is currently the world's best. It has broken all the benchmarks in the field of Demand Forecasting. 

At Mate Labs you will:

• Be working with Django and Flask frameworks
  

• Be working on the backend of Mateverse - our platform to build and deploy machine learning models without writing a single line of code
  

• Be writing web services in Django REST Framework
  

• Be working with Redis, Celery, Rabbit -MQ, Argo and Pyspark
  

• Be working multiple database systems

Requirements

Skills Required:

• 4 - 7 Years of Experience
  

• Language: Python(preferable) / C / Java
  

• Framework: Django and Flask 
  

• DB: MySQL / PostGres
  

• ML/AI/Data Science: Fair understanding of Data Science, working experience a huge plus
  

• Version Control: Good understanding of Git is a must
  

• Cloud: AWS, GoogleCloud, Azure (any will do)
  

• CI/CD: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes (importance in that order)
  

• Thorough architecture design knowledge in building scalable web app capable of handling high traffic with emphasis on security
  

• Would prefer a candidate from a small/midscale startup
