Software Development Engineer II

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with 4–5 years of experience building scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, databases, microservices, code reviews, and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and REST APIs.
  

• Build secure, high-performance microservices.
  

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  

• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
  

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  

• Integrate databases, third-party services, and cloud platforms.
  

• Troubleshoot production issues and support CI/CD workflows.
  

• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Frontend teams.
  

• Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Candidates must hold a B.Tech / M.Tech / BCA / MCA from a Tier 1 institution (IITs, NITs, or equivalent institutes)
  

• 4+ years of work experience with Node.js
  

• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  

• NestJS or Express.js
  

• REST APIs and Microservices
  

• MySQL, MongoDB
  

• Redis, JWT/OAuth
  

• Git, Docker, CI/CD
  

• Basic AWS/Azure/GCP knowledge
  

AI Development Experience (Must Have)

• Hands-on experience with tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini Code Assist
  

• Ability to use AI for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and refactoring
  

• Understanding of AI-assisted software engineering best practices
  

Good to Have:

• Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, GraphQL, Elasticsearch
  

• System Design and Distributed Systems experience
