software Engineer

The Software Engineer at Green Fields Ltd will be part of our highly efficient IT team responsible for developing and designing new software applications. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with different teams across all levels of the organization and will have significant contributions to Green Fields Ltd's strategic initiatives goal to further advance our technology base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture to streamline our organizational processes.
• Perform validation testing and debugging procedures to ensure the performance and reliability of system and applications.
• Execute code enhancements and modifications, as well as suggest optimization strategies for improving system performance.
• Support existing applications, identify user needs, resolve problems and optimize the efficacy of software systems.
• Maintain thorough documentation of development and operational procedures in compliance with our standard practices.
• Engage in system analyses including requirement gathering, designing proposed system, implementing, and overseeing program testing and the startup process.
• Effectively collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other related staff to ensure projects are completed within the stipulated timeline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or any related field of study is required.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar software development role.
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python or C++.
• Proficient in software design, database administration, general computing, and testing.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies, and familiarity with DevOps best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with scalable and high-performance systems is preferable.
