We are looking for a Java Software Engineer II to join our growing software development team, working on an important, internet-facing web application that provides payments initiation capabilities.

The Software Engineer II role is to analyze requirements, develop and test code, and deploy efficient systems in support of the core organizational functions.  This individual will utilize effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate/resolve issues, opportunities, or problems to maximize the benefit of IT and business needs.

The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide coding and application support.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to management, individual contributors, and business stakeholders.  The ideal candidate will move at a rapid rate of execution while maintaining both the short- and long-term strategic view while collaborating with team members.

The Community Association Banking Technology is a Specialized Business Line Focused on Supporting Property Management Companies, Homeowners Associations, Commercial Property Managers, and Apartment Complex Managers. Servicing 1350+ Property Management Companies, Over 40,000+ HOA’s , 250 HOA’s managed directly by FCB. The Community Association Banking Technology team is growing and seeking a Software Engineer II to join us.. New joiners can be sure to amass immense knowledge about domain and technology thanks to the free flow of information and mentorship provided by seasoned IT professionals who have been part of this team for so long. The integrations (applications) built by the person playing this role helps drive transformation goal for the organization by significantly improving.

Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities)

• 5-7 years experience building enterprise applications.
• Utilizes up-to-date coding, testing, security, DevOps, and software engineering practices to maintain and create new applications that support business requirements
• Thoroughly tests systems to ensure proper installation of new software, system changes, and overall efficiency. 
• Exhibits DevOps and Agile mindset where team is accountable for product from inception to sunset
• Possesses an understanding of User Experience practices to improve usability and interaction between the customer and product
• Resolves complex technical problems across products using a DevSecOps approach, research industry best practices and conducts proof-of-concepts
• Applies a wide application of complex principles, theories, and concepts in computer science for software engineering solutions
• Provides technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve processing capabilities. Works closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives
• Supports productions systems by resolving complicated issues and ensuring ongoing functionality.
• Provides 24/7 support during on-call rotations for critical Production issues

• Engineer II role is to plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems in support of the core organizational functions.
•  This individual will utilize effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate/resolve issues, opportunities, or problems to maximize the benefit of IT and Business needs.
•  The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide technical guidance, estimation of efforts, understanding and deciding upon the optimal technology solution to achieve the desired business needs, day to day application support, should be able to navigate differing levels of gray/unknowns, and have excellent communication skills with other IT management levels, individual contributors, and business stakeholders.  They must be able to move at a rapid rate of execution to deliver requests and take advantage of any opportunities as they present themselves and navigate through any resource constraints. They must have both the short- and long-term strategic view when deciding on the best technical approach.  They must be able to develop code and effectively oversee distributed development team members.
