Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test (SWET) with 6–9 years of experience in API testing, automation, and database validation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in REST API development, REST Assured-based automation testing, and experience working with CockroachDB or PL/SQL. The role requires a quality-focused professional who can design, develop, and execute robust automated test solutions while collaborating closely with development and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and maintain automated API test frameworks using REST Assured. 
•    Create and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases. 
•    Validate APIs and backend services for performance, reliability, and security. 
•    Perform database testing and data validation using CockroachDB or PL/SQL. 
•    Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies. 
•    Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for timely resolution. 
•    Develop reusable automation components and improve test coverage. 
•    Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies. 
•    Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into deployment processes. 
•    Prepare test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards for stakeholders. 
Required Skills
•    6–9 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation. 
•    Strong hands-on experience in: 
o    REST API Development 
o    REST Assured API Automation Testing 
o    CockroachDB or PL/SQL 
•    Strong understanding of API testing methodologies and best practices. 
•    Experience in designing and executing automated test cases. 
•    Knowledge of database testing, data validation, and SQL queries. 
•    Experience with defect tracking and test management tools. 
•    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. 
Preferred Skills
•    Experience with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines. 
•    Knowledge of Java and automation framework development. 
•    Exposure to performance and security testing of APIs. 
•    Experience with microservices-based architectures. 
•    Understanding of cloud-native applications and distributed systems. 
Soft Skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality. 
Educational Qualification
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
