Software Engineer- Salesforce Developer

We are looking for a Software Engineer- Salesforce Developer for Chennai location, to join our company. 

In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you are:  

You are an experienced Salesforce developer with strong hands-on expertise in custom development and integrations. You are comfortable working across the full development lifecycle and bringing sound engineering practices to every piece of work you deliver. 

What you will be doing:  

•  Develop and customise Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, and Flows 

• Implement declarative solutions such as Flows, validation rules, and process automation where appropriate 

• Build and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP APIs and middleware tools 

• Create and maintain Salesforce data models, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, and security settings 

• Write unit tests and ensure adequate code coverage to support deployments 

• Support application deployments using Change Sets, Salesforce CLI, and CI/CD pipelines 

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and production incidents 

• Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, quality teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC 

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support handovers  

 experience and skills:  

• 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience 

•  Strong experience with Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) 

• Experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud 

• Good understanding of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules 

• Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and data migration tools 

• Solid understanding of Salesforce governor limits and development best practices 

Preferred Certifications 

• Salesforce Platform Developer I 

• Salesforce Administrator Certification
