Software Engineer | SAP ABAP/BTP | Senior Level
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a Senior SAP Software Engineer with strong expertise in SAP ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), capable of participating in global projects involving implementations, migrations, upgrades, and SAP S/4HANA transformations.
Must-have experience:
● Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Experience in freestyle with SAPUI5 , CAP as ABAP
● Proven experience in SAP implementation projects.
● Proven experience in SAP system migrations and upgrades.
● Hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments.
● Advanced knowledge of ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (ABAP OO).
● Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
● Experience with Workflow, BADI, BAPI, Enhancement Framework, Enhancement Points, RFC, EDI/IDOC, SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, ALV Reports, Batch Input, Call Transaction, and Data Dictionary.
● Experience optimizing code performance in SAP HANA 2.0 environments.
● Experience creating Detailed Design Documents and Technical Specifications.
● Knowledge of SAP business processes in SD, MM/WM, and FI/CO modules.
● Experience collaborating with functional teams, business stakeholders, and offshore delivery teams.
● Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-have experience:
● SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) development experience.
● SAP ABAP Certification.
● SAP BTP Certification.
● Experience with SAP integrations, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
● Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
● Experience working on multinational or global projects.
● Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Responsibilities
The selected professional will be responsible for delivering high-quality SAP technical solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with development best practices.
● Analyze business and functional requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
● Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions.
● Participate in SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, and transformation projects.
● Develop and enhance solutions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
● Perform advanced debugging and root cause analysis for complex issues.
● Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
● Deliver optimized code solutions to ensure system performance and avoid process bottlenecks.
● Apply SAP HANA 2.0 performance tuning and optimization techniques.
● Participate in Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
● Support integrations between SAP and external systems.
● Create and maintain Detailed Design Documents and Technical Specifications.
● Design and document Data Flow Architectures.
● Conduct Knowledge Transfer sessions for offshore resources and support teams.
● Ensure adherence to development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
Required Languages
Advanced English proficiency (80-95%)
The candidate must be able to actively participate in technical discussions, workshops, client meetings, documentation reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams in English.
