This role focuses on Large Language Models, agentic AI systems, and cloud\u2011native architectures, contributing to complex software systems used by global customers. The specialist works independently on complex problem statements, provides technical guidance within the team, and influences platform\u2011level design decisions in alignment with Amdocs engineering standards .\n\n## What will your job look like?\n\n### Engineering \u0026 Solution Development\n\n * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise\u2011scale GenAI applications, including LLM\u2011powered services and intelligent agents.\n * Implement RAG (Retrieval\u2011Augmented Generation) architectures integrating structured and unstructured enterprise data sources.\n * Build and optimize agentic AI workflows, including orchestration, tool usage, memory, and planning patterns.\n * Develop and integrate MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and supporting services for scalable AI interactions.\n * Ensure solutions are cloud\u2011native, secure, scalable, and production\u2011ready, aligned with Amdocs engineering and SDLC practices .\n\n\n\n### Technical Ownership \u0026 Quality\n\n * Assume technical ownership of assigned modules and services, from design through deployment and support.\n * Perform code reviews, ensure high software quality, and contribute to meeting SLAs, KPIs, and reliability targets.\n * Drive automation, observability, and performance optimization across GenAI services.\n\n\n\n### Architecture \u0026 Collaboration\n\n * Contribute to enterprise GenAI architecture, including model selection, deployment patterns, and governance considerations.\n * Collaborate with product, platform, and cloud teams to align AI capabilities with business and customer needs.\n * Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the engineering team, supporting onboarding and upskilling .\n\n\n\n### Innovation \u0026 Continuous Improvement\n\n * Actively research and evaluate emerging GenAI technologies, tools, and frameworks.\n * Drive continuous improvement in LLMOps, prompt engineering standards, and AI development best practices.\n\n\n\n## All you need is...\n\n### Experience \u0026 Background\n\n * 4\u20139 years of experience in software engineering, with hands\u2011on responsibility for complex, production systems.\n * Strong experience building and operating cloud\u2011based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\n * Proven experience delivering enterprise\u2011grade AI or data\u2011intensive systems.\n\n\n\n### Technical Skills\n\n * Large Language Models: Hands\u2011on experience with GPT\u2011, Claude\u2011, or similar class models.\n * Agentic AI systems: Design and implementation of multi\u2011step, tool\u2011using AI agents.\n * RAG architectures: Vector databases, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, and grounding strategies.\n * Prompt engineering: Designing, testing, and optimizing prompts for reliability and performance.\n * LLMOps: Model lifecycle management, monitoring, evaluation, versioning, and CI/CD for AI systems.\n * Enterprise GenAI architecture: Security, governance, scalability, and integration patterns.\n * Strong programming skills in one or more languages commonly used in AI platforms (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).\n\n\n\n### Education\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience .\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n## Nice to Have\n\n * Experience with multi\u2011tenant SaaS platforms or large\u2011scale telecom/enterprise systems.\n * Exposure to responsible AI practices, model governance, and data privacy considerations.\n * Experience contributing to internal platforms, frameworks, or developer enablement tools.\n\n\n\n## Why you will love this job:\n\n\u2022 You will be challenged to design and develop new software applications. \n\u2022 You will have the opportunity to work in a growing organization, with ever growing opportunities for personal growth. \n \n\nAmdocs is an equal opportunity employer.
