Your role is pivotal in developing software tools that support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Your expertise will determine hardware compatibility and influence design, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware.\n\nIn this role, you\u2019ll make an impact across Lam\u2019s entire product portfolio of equipment working within our centralized software engineering team, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Software requirement gathering, design, development, testing of projects for a chamber in wafer fabrication equipment involving multiple device interactions.\n * Responsible for defect fixing and maintenance of software install base by analysing, debugging, and fixing customer issues.\n * Analysis and troubleshooting of software and hardware communication issues, command/response implementation on serial, Ethernet, Ether CAT connectivity.\n * Actively contributes to technical reviews, guide junior engineers in design and implementation phases of product software.\n * Plans, co-ordinates, technical reviews multiple SW development activities (multi-tasking) in parallel to SW project development.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering with 6+ years of experience; or Master\u2019s degree with 4+ years\u2019 experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.\n * Exposure and experience in CFT to understand hardware specification, schematics and convert into Software requirements, design, and implementation.\n * Hands on experience of design and developing equipment/machine control software using object-oriented program.\n * Exposure and experience with serial, MODBUS and EtherCat protocol implementation between Software and Hardware controller communication.\n * Interested in semiconductor domain and keen to work in wafer-fabrication equipment software using Smalltalk programming language.\n * Strong understanding and experience in OOPS concepts\n * Strong analytical, logical, problem solving, trouble shooting skills.\n * Hands on experience in complete project development life cycle like waterfall, Agile, Kanban models etc.\n * Strong communication and presentation skills.\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Prior semiconductor equipment experience.\n * Experience in distributed embedded controls system desired.\n * Experience in programming in C/C++/Python.\n * Knowledge on EtherCat based device communications.\n * Hands on experience in software source control and bug tracking tools.\n * Hands on experience in RTOS.\n * Experience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
