We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining applications on IBM Mainframe platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, along with a good understanding of batch and online processing.

What will your job look like?

• Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement high-performance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

• Analyze and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications.

• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging of programs.

• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Monitor and optimize application performance.

• Provide technical support for production issues and implement fixes as required.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Prepare and maintain documentation related to system design, program logic, and operational procedures.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.

All you need is...

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe development.

• Strong hands-on experience with: COBOL, JCL ,DB2, IMS, CICS ,VSAM

• Experience in working with mainframe tools such as Endevor, File-AID, Abend-AID, and SPUFI.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Experience with batch processing, online applications, and job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7 or Control-M).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

All you need is....

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern mainframe integration (APIs, MQ, web services).

• Knowledge of REXX, Easytrieve, or Assembler is a plus.

• Exposure to DevOps tools and automation in a mainframe environment is desirable.

• Banking/Insurance/Retail domain experience is an advantage

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
