Software Quality Analyst (SQA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Software Quality Analyst (SQA) to ensure that software products meet established standards of quality, functionality, and performance. The SQA will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting testing activities while working closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, system specifications, and design documents
  
• Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  
• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, system, smoke, and UAT testing
  
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using issue-tracking tools
  
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
  
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA feedback
  
• Validate fixes and perform re-testing as required
  
• Ensure software releases meet quality benchmarks and timelines
  
• Maintain proper QA documentation and testing reports
  
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  
• Hands-on experience in manual software testing
  
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Zoho, etc.)
  
• Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and system testing
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of automation testing tools (Selenium or equivalent)
  
• Experience in testing web and/or mobile applications
  
• Basic understanding of API testing and SQL queries
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
