The Software
Tester should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies,
excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively
with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software
products.

Requirements

Qualifications

-          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
a related field.

-          2-3 years of professional experience in software
testing - manual and automation testing.

-          Working knowledge of Python, Django, PostgreSQL and ReactJS.

-          International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)
certification or similar testing certification is a plus.

Key
Responsibilities

-          Collaborate with software developers, business
analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.

-          Participate in requirement review sessions to identify
testable scenarios and ensure clarity in understanding.

-          Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test
scripts based on project requirements.

-          Perform functional, regression, integration, and
system testing to ensure software meets quality standards and requirements.

-          Execute test cases manually and, if applicable,
automate test cases using appropriate testing tools.

-          Identify and document defects and inconsistencies in
the software's behavior, following a structured defect reporting process.

-          Validate defect fixes and verify that changes do not
adversely affect existing functionality.

-          Contribute to the development and maintenance of
automated test scripts and frameworks.

-          Collaborate with the automation team to identify test
cases suitable for automation and support continuous test automation efforts.

-          Work closely with development teams to provide
detailed information about defects and assist in their resolution.

-          Track and manage defects using issue tracking tools,
ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and resolution.

-          Maintain up-to-date documentation of test plans, test
cases, and test results.

-          Generate test summary reports, including metrics and
testing outcomes, to communicate progress and quality status to stakeholders.

-          Identify areas for process improvement within the
testing lifecycle and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies.

Technical Skills
and Competencies

-          Strong knowledge of software testing concepts,
methodologies, and practices.

-          Experience with test case design, execution, defect
tracking, and reporting.

-          Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.

-          Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is
advantageous.

-          Excellent MS Office Skills.

-          Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging
trends in software testing to enhance overall testing effectiveness.
