Mandatory Requirements:

• All career experience must be with a big, reputed apparel brand and organizations.
• Must have strong sourcing base and extensive contacts with manufacturers.
• Must have Pan-India connections and capability to assure quality and timing compliance.
• Must have experience in men's and women's Western wear from across India.
• No history of frequently hopping jobs.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India (minimum 15 days per month).
• Candidates from across India who are ready to travel and make arrangements to be at the head office when not traveling can apply.

Job Summary:

The Sourcing Head will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials and products specifically for Western wear apparel. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the fashion and apparel industry, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers. The position involves extensive dealings with manufacturers, Pan-India travel, and adherence to YUVAKAA’s zero-tolerance policy for quality and timing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with YUVAKAA's business goals and growth plans, specifically for Western wear apparel.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers who meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements for men's and women's Western wear.
• High-Stakes Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to enforce YUVAKAA’s zero-tolerance policy for quality deviations. Ensure all sourced materials and products meet our exacting standards.
• Cost Efficiency: Monitor and manage sourcing budgets meticulously, driving cost-efficiency and ensuring value for money in all procurement processes.
• Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform and refine sourcing strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of sourcing activities into the broader operational framework.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively address potential risks in the supply chain, developing robust mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity and stability.
• Pan-India Travel: Conduct regular visits to suppliers and manufacturing units across India (minimum 15 days per month), ensuring compliance with YUVAKAA’s standards and fostering strong supplier relationships.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously enhance sourcing processes and supply chain efficiency, ensuring the procurement of the highest quality materials within required timelines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement within the fashion and apparel industry, focusing on Western wear. Must have an established vendor base for contract manufacturing and a proven track record in a reputed apparel brand.
