Identifies potential service and product suppliers who can deliver best value to Qualcomm and satisfy project goals and objectives. Manages the supplier sourcing process for both products and services. Engages, analyzes, and evaluates supplier responses (e.g., RFP) according to category data, market data, should-cost models, and other analytics for accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness. Conducts negotiations with suppliers to ensure lowest total cost of ownership while achieving mutual goals, benefits, and objectives. Manages supplier contracts including reviewing and executing contracts, and ongoing relationship management activities. \n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Business, Operations, or related field.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 2+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work experience.\n\n\u2022 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Identifies internal stakeholder needs and requirements for well-defined projects of limited scope. \n\n\u2022 Assists in identifying potential service and product suppliers who can deliver value to project objectives based on an understanding of stakeholder needs and category knowledge. \n\n\u2022 Cultivates an awareness of market and supplier trends (e.g., cost drivers, technology), sharing findings with team to support cost modeling and negotiations. \n\n\u2022 Supports go-to-market procurement strategies based upon the needs of the business unit and guidance from senior specialists and stakeholders. \n\n\u2022 Supports senior staff in developing procurement supplier selection criteria specifications to obtain products or services that are aligned with project goals and objectives with guidance. \n\n\u2022 Assists with analyzing and evaluating sourcing mechanisms, supplier feedback and responses, according to outlined specifications or statement of work; supports the identification of appropriate suppliers. \n\n\u2022 Acts as a contact with supplier including supporting initiation of the relationship, negotiating basic commercial and other legal terms, executing the contract, and managing supplier fulfillment. \n\n\u2022 Makes low impact decisions as it pertains to one\u0027s own area of work.\n\n\u2022 Collaborates with individuals inside own team to complete the team\u0027s work. \n\n\u2022 Executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with supervision.\n\nLevel of Responsibility:\n\n\u2022 Works under close supervision.\n\n\u2022 Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).\n\n\u2022 Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role may require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc. \n\n\u2022 Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
