We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Educator to support inclusive learning and ensure that every child receives personalised academic, behavioural, and socio-emotional support. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about special education, learning disabilities, and creating supportive learning environments that empower students with diverse needs to succeed.
The Special Educator will collaborate closely with teachers, counsellors, academic coordinators, and parents to design and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), conduct assessments, provide targeted interventions, and monitor student progress. Candidates with strong communication skills, hands-on remedial teaching experience, and expertise in handling varied learning requirements—such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, behavioural challenges, and developmental delays—will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct screening and diagnostic assessments for students with learning needs and create detailed evaluation reports.
Design and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with teachers, counsellors, and parents.
Deliver remedial instruction through one-on-one and small-group teaching sessions.
Collaborate with academic teams to promote inclusive classroom practices and differentiated learning approaches.
Track student progress through regular evaluations, documentation, and parent communication.
Support classroom teachers with behavioural and instructional strategies, modifications, and accommodations.
Conduct training sessions for teachers on early identification and inclusive education techniques.
Maintain case files, documentation, progress records, and compliance reports.
Partner with therapists, psychologists, and external specialists when required.
Conduct awareness and guidance sessions for parents on learning and behavioural support strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed/M.Ed Special Education) from a recognised institution.
Must have a 2-year B.Ed in Special Education.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Special Educator in CBSE/ICSE/International schools.
Strong knowledge of remedial teaching, multi-sensory learning methods, and behaviour management.
Excellent communication, empathy, collaboration, and documentation skills.
