SECTION II. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role will have the primary responsibility of Development of Manufacturing IT solutions collaborating with internal stakeholders and Central IT teams (from YOHT and YRC).

This role will be implementing the Manufacturing IT initiatives integrated with MES (Manufacturing Execution systems), complementing other manufacturing IT Systems.

Overall responsibility being to Design, code, test, debug, and implement/maintain client server based applications.  using PL/SQL, VB.net, C#.net and SQL databases/ stored procedures.

SECTION III. Key Result Areas

  • Develop & Implement solutions on shop floor and Support Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Projects
  
  
  • Solution Implementation working along with Business team at Plant and Central IT functions.
  
  
  • Customize the existing solutions as per business requirements.
  
  
  • Design and develop need-based software programs as per new plant requirements.
  
  
  • Prepare Technical Documentation for applications.
  
  
  • Document testing, error resolution, and overall software development process
  
  
  • Analyze and resolve errors in the applications.
  
  
  • Maintain and upgrade existing applications.
  
  
  • Prepare detailed user manuals for end-users.
  
  
  
  

• Delivery Management and alignment with business teams
  
  
  
  • Coordinate with Factory resources, Factory Business Users and YRC IT Planning team for the flawless execution of Project.
  
  
  • Ensure that all project development tasks are delivered on-time, as per quality norms.
  
  
  • Work with Central IT Team for Gathering requirement, ideas and implementation of new solutions.
  
  
  • Training to end users and response to enquiries after implementation.
  
  
  • Estimation of application development efforts for Project Plan to monitor and track progress.
  
  
  • Track delivery performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion.                 
  
  
  • Track Ticket Resolution status for any Bugs reported in application from Business.
  
  
  
  

• IT Standards, Security & compliance
  
  
  
  • Maintain application security and integrity.
  
  
  • Keep abreast of developments in IT technologies/applications and Industry/Process best practices.
  
  
  
  

• Process Streamlining and standardization with YRC
  
  
  
  • Learn YRC standard software development process and overall IT Landscape for Manufacturing IT specifically YRC Specific MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution.
  
  
  • Understand YRC Processes, Methodology and Terminology for software development.
  
  
  • Work at multiple YRC plants across globe during initial training phase of project.
  
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills and Experiences

Competencies

Educational Background:

• Mandatory: Bachelor/Master in Computer science/ Information Technology / Electronics and telecommunication

Functional/ Technical Competencies:

• Mandatory : Software development experience with Programming languages such as -VB.net, C#.net & C


• Mandatory : Experience with Oracle databases, tables, views, stored procedure


• Strong communication and coordination skills


• Excellent critical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities


• Effective at time management & good collaborative skills


• Non-Mandatory but will be an added advantage
  
  
  
  1. Knowledge of Manufacturing Automation systems and processes / MES exposure, including PLC and SCADA
  
  
  2. Understanding of Business Processes across Manufacturing specially Tire industry area
  
  
  3. Japanese language with level N3.

Work Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in similar assignments with software product development /services organization or IT solution development team in manufacturing organization as a Developer.


• 5-7 years of experience in programming in VB .net, C#.net, C and PL/SQL is mandatory.


• Preferred: Expertise in Manufacturing solutions development

Other Skills:

• Working knowledge of Japanese language will be an advantage.
