Role Overview:

The SAP Release Orchestrator will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of global releases for key company initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to change management processes—particularly on SAP platforms. This role requires a technical background, familiarity with project management tools, and the ability to work independently on high-profile tasks. The ideal candidate will also bring excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, thrive in agile and DevOps environments.

What will you do in this role:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate solutions through the SDLC process.
• Communicate change management, release schedules, and provide guidance on current target pathways to Production.
• Plan and facilitate the application of annual support packs as well as infrastructure upgrades to SAP systems and patching during maintenance windows using cloud approaches for downtime minimization.
• Support all testing efforts for release solutions.
• Create build plans that encompass the release scope, timeline, and resources.
• Monitor and track release progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
• Ensure that all release documentation is complete and accurate.
• Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release evaluations.
• Continuously improve release processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Change Approval Boards (CAB) and stakeholders to finalize release scope. 

What Should you have:

Education Level:

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline or relevant experience

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of IT business solutions deployment experience.
• Understanding of modern project management methodologies
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of SAP ecosystems including Basis, Solution Manager, ECC, HANA, and cloud integrations.
• Effective in time management, task prioritization and adhering to target dates.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Life Sciences industry experience.
• SaFe Agile and PMP certifications.
• Experience with SAP solutioning (i.e. Migrations, S/4 HANA, SAP RISE, Charm, etc.)
• Experience with global releases within SAP landscapes.
• Familiarity with zero downtime maintenance and high-availability cloud infrastructure.
