1. Technical Liaison & Client Solutions - 40%
Serve as the primary liaison between Underwriting, MIS/IT, and support teams to manage technical requests.
Support client onboarding by creating standardized, client-branded reports connected to appropriate data sources.
Develop ad hoc and recurring client reports using SQL; escalate associated costs for approval.
Manage and track requests through ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution.
2. Reporting & Data Management - 20%
Build, maintain, and enhance reporting solutions using SQL and Tableau.
Own underwriting-related reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business needs.
Perform data linking and visualization for internal and select client-facing reports.
Update and maintain reports based on client requests and ongoing changes.
3. System Testing, Configuration & Release Support - 20%
Conduct pre-release testing for system enhancements, bug fixes, and customizations to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Validate data integrity and mitigate risks related to policy, rating, or rollout errors.
Partner with IT to improve user experience; implement changes via low-code/no-code tools where applicable.
Support system updates and releases across platforms such as Instanda, QuickSolve (QS), Workbench, and HappyFox.
4. Underwriting & Operational Support - 10%
Perform underwriting tasks including policies, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and final audits.
Gather and verify client information, apply underwriting guidelines, and input data into systems.
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality across all deliverables.
Provide support during client onboarding and serve as a client-facing resource as needed.
5. Teamwork & Collaboration - 10%
Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet client needs and contribute to achievement of internal team goals.
Look for opportunities to improve processes to better support clients and build knowledge and expertise in underwriting.
Serve as a resource and mentor to junior team members. Alongside supervisor, assists leading training for new team members.
Foster a respectful and collaborative environment by upholding professionalism and engaging in constructive and respectful conversations.
Support a positive workplace culture by promoting open, solution-oriented communication, encouraging teamwork, and maintaining a focus on shared goals and productivity.
