Speech Language Pathologist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
  

• Diagnose speech and communication disorders and prepare individualized treatment plans.
  

• Provide therapy to clients with speech delays, articulation difficulties, stuttering, voice problems, or communication impairments due to neurological/physical conditions.
  

• Deliver swallowing therapy and train patients and caregivers in safe feeding techniques.
  

• Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when required.
  

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, educators, and medical professionals.
  

• Counsel and train family members/caregivers to support therapy goals at home and in the community.
  

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and patient progress.
  

• Conduct group therapy sessions, workshops, or awareness programs if required.
  

• Stay updated with research, new therapy techniques, and professional guidelines.
