JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance (QA) Underwriter

SHIFT TIMING: Must be open for Weekend, Rotational & Night Shift

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

LOCATION: Chennai

Experience Range: 1 years – 4 years

Job Summary:

The QA Underwriter is responsible for conducting underwriting reviews of loans to ensure compliance with lender guidelines. This role involves a comprehensive assessment of loans underwritten by client underwriters to validate accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and lender requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed review of loan files, including:

o Loan application

o Appraisal report and Automated Valuation Models (AVMs)

o Credit report

o Mortgage statement and Payoff statement

o Hazard and Flood Insurance policies

o Title commitment

o Note, Mortgage/Deed of Trust, Warranty Deed, and Quit Claim Deed

• Verify that all documentation supports the underwriting decision and that data is accurately reflected in the client’s Loan Origination System (LOS)

• Ensure that all loans meet lender guidelines

• Identify discrepancies, compliance issues, or data inconsistencies in document

Qualifications:

• Any bachelor’s degree

• Proven experience in mortgage underwriting or QA underwriting

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and procedures

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
