SQA Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand business requirements, use cases, and technical expectations.

• Create and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for iOS and Android applications.

• Clearly document test objectives, steps, and expected outcomes for seamless communication and traceability.

• Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups—raising flags early on.

• Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure top-notch product quality.

• Troubleshoot and document issues thoroughly, providing actionable steps to assist developers in debugging.

• Work with the engineering team to identify root causes of complex issues and suggest long-term solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in web and mobile application testing.

• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, defect lifecycle, and quality best practices.

• Experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.

• API testing skills (experience with Postman preferred).

• Proficient in manual testing of mobile apps (iOS & Android).

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

• A detail-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Basic experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Cypress, Playwright, or similar web testing tools.

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and version control tools.

• Exposure to financial applications or fintech environments.

• Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Candidates with strong academic backgrounds from reputed universities, whether fresh graduates or experienced professionals, will be given preference.
