Job Description - SQL Database Administrator

Responsibilities -

SQL Server DBA (2012, 2014, 2016) in Production, Development and Staging Environments

24/7 on Call Support for Production Database.

Experience in Upgrades, Patches, Configuration and Administration for SQL Server.

Experience in Setting up (HA) High Availability solutions like Availability group.

Experience in Troubleshooting, Backup and Restore of Databases.

Refreshing the DB from Prod to staging/Development environment.

Experience in upgrading SQL Server software to new versions, applying Service packs & hotfixes.

* Experience in scheduling Backups and Restore, Maintenance plans using SSMS.

* Expertise in Scheduling Database tasks - Jobs, Alerts, Emails, Notification.

* Extensive experience in controlling the User Privileges, Monitoring the Security and Audit issues as per Standards.

* Strong Communication & Management skills and Excellent Team player.

Experience in solving Database issues with Index fragmentation, DBCC checks, Optimization of Query, Index tuning, Update Statistics.

* Experience in Migrating the SQL server from lower versions (2008R2,2012,2014) to the higher version (2016).

Experience in fetching the Bak files of RDS by Creating IMA role and option groups.

* Experience in troubleshooting the high CPU usage.

* Having little knowledge of Azure SQL managed Instances.

* Experience in migrating on-prem data from to Azure cloud & azure data factory.

Requirements

Experience: 4-8ys of exp

Qualification required: B.tech/M.tech/BCA/MCA qualified having minimum 3 years of experience up to 5 years as an SQL Database Administrator
