Job Description:

Team Overview:

  • APAC Surgery Commercial Excellence is a newly structured regional team delivering strategic insights and commercial excellence support across the APAC Surgery portfolio and platforms.
  • The team partners closely with Markets and Portfolio Leads to build value-based business cases and drive strategic initiatives focused on near- and long-term revenue growth.
  • The team works in a central, cross‑functional model grounded in market research and data analytics.

Job Description:

  • The Analyst will be responsible to integrate market and platform insights to support the APAC Surgery business, contributing to regional strategy, financial planning cycles, and long-term capability building across the surgery portfolio.
  • This role requires strong business acumen, an analytical mindset, and the ability to translate secondary market data into actionable recommendations. The Analyst will work with the Insights and Commercial Excellence team to provide end-to-end data and analytics support.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Excellence & Strategic Initiative

  • Define and track KPIs, develop dashboards, and produce reports to guide leadership decisions and monitor performance.
  • Deliver advanced analyses and forecasts to identify growth, profitability, and improvement opportunities across segments, brands, and markets.
  • Generate actionable customer and portfolio insights to optimize growth and support strategic projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Reporting) to deploy analytics, shape execution, and maintain best‑in‑class reporting practices.
  • Support new product research, quantify market opportunities, and track performance of key growth drivers.

Finance Planning & Governance

  • Support regional financial planning and execution, including generation of market intelligence on growth and share opportunities.
  • Lead quarterly market growth and share model development and consolidation across Region/Platforms; produce reports for senior leadership that highlight key market and sales drivers.
  • Build business cases for strategic projects and quantify opportunities of strategic changes.
  • Monitor competitor performance and strategy on a regular basis.

Data & analytics capabilities

  • Recommend tools, techniques, and secondary data sources to enhance marketplace understanding.
  • Synthesize disparate data sources into an integrated market view and concise recommendations.
  • Maintain high-quality forecasting and scenario models.

Required Qualification:

 

  • BS/BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field, healthcare is required.
  • MBA or MS or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of Six (6) years of progressive experience in secondary market research, forecasting, strategic insights, market research, business analytics, finance, problem solving using quantitative research, analysis, and data. field is required
  • Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred; Experience in the products industry is desirable
  • Proven ability to understand, market and competitive intelligence data into actionable insights that drive decision-making.
  • Strong experience with forecasting and scenario modeling.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with secondary market research tools and data analytics is preferred
  • Knowledge of competitive intelligence data and strategic insights work is preferred
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau); experience with SQL, R, SAS, SPSS, or Qlik is a plus.Thorough working knowledge and experience with forecasting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work professionally with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior consulting experience or experience with strategic insights projects.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics such as price erosion, price sensitivity, and volume/mix analysis
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in multi-site, multicultural teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and making fact-based recommendations with imperfect data.
  • Curious, resourceful, and able to find non-traditional solutions.
